Emily Candela

Hi! I am an artist and design historian fascinated by the subtle ways science invades the imagination and imprints everyday life. I write on science in culture (especially its interface with design and art), teach at the Royal College of Art, and I'm currently a PhD candidate across the Royal College of Art and the Science Museum funded by an Arts and Humanities Research Council Collaborative Doctoral Award.

I host ATOMIC radio, a radio show on science and the arts, exhibited in the Science Museum Media Space in Spring 2014, and broadcast on Resonance 104.4 FM and online. I also co-curate Metalab, a series of cross-disciplinary workshops and projects supported by the Royal College of Art and the London Consortium.

My latest news can be found here, sometimes I post things on this tumblr and I tweet @ladymeanlice.
