Emily Candela

Hi! I am an artist and design historian fascinated by the subtle ways science invades the imagination and exists as a part of everyday life. I write on science in culture (especially its interface with design and art), teach at the Royal College of Art, and I'm currently doing a PhD across the Royal College of Art and the Science Museum through an Arts and Humanities Research Council Collaborative Doctoral Award. I also devise and lead workshops in museums and galleries such as the Institute of Contemporary Arts and the Museum of London, and co-curate Metalab, a series of cross-disciplinary workshops and projects supported by the Royal College of Art and the London Consortium. I live in London.

My latest news can be found here, sometimes I post things on this tumblr and I tweet @ladymeanlice.
